GUIDE PRICE FOR WEDDING CAKES
Your wedding cake is important to us. We work closely with all our couples to ensure the dream they have for their cake becomes a reality. We offer a one-to-one contact service and will liase with your venue/wedding co-ordinator to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day.
Prices for wedding cakes vary greatly according to complexity of design and your quote will be individual to your design. As a guide a 3 tier fondant covered cake serving 80 starts at £395.00 A naked/semi naked cake of the same size starts at £295.00.
All of our cakes are covered with a ganache finish under the fondant which helps to give the crisp clean finish of modern wedding cakes. Please note, we do not offer cakes with buttercream under fondant. Fruit cakes are covered with marzipan and royal icing which can then be covered with fondant to make your chosen theme,
Detailed work including ruffles, sugar flowers, handpainted monograms, complex stencilling etc will incur additional cost.
Additional Elements
Ruffles - £10.00 per inch. i.e 10" tier plus £100.00 8" tier plus £80.00 etc
Sugar Flowers - from £15.00per full size flower including appropriate filler flowers/berries
Hand Painted Monogram - from £25.00
24ct Gold Leaf detailing - £8.00 per sheet (8x8cm)
Dummy tiers (polystyrene) can be used to give the effect of a much larger cake without the waste of cake if that is your chosen look. Please be aware this does not dramatically reduce the price of your cake as the majority of costs involved will be in the decoration.
Delivery within a 15 mile radius of Basildon, Essex is included in the cost. Delivery further than 15 miles is available at £1.00 per mile.
Cake samples and consultation are included in the cost. Cake samples are also available by post.
If you choose us to make your wedding cake a non-refundable £100.00 deposit will be required to secure your date. The balance of your cake is due 4 weeks prior to delivery date.
Please note we are unable to offer 'Free From' cakes as all our cakes are home baked in one kitchen and would share equipment. We can make cakes without gluten/nuts for example but are unable to stipulate they are 'Free From'
